 EVENTS _____________________________________________ ANIMAL FAIR Saturday, May 12 11am-2pm Bring your family, friends, and neighbors to the Patterson Inn’s Animal Fair! We will have all varieties of new and gently used stuffed animals and dolls for sale,stuffed animal accessories, kids activities, picnic food and more! The focus is on children 5-10 years old. They can bring their own favorite stuffed animal to the event and purchase accessories for it. This event is open to the public and there is no admission fee. Annual Meeting Wednesday, May 23 7:00pm The Corning-Painted Post Historical Society will hold its annual meeting at the Methodist Presbyterian Church Hall in Painted Post. The guest speaker this year will be Mike O’Brien. He will be doing a presentation on early Corning Fire Departments. The meeeting will begin with a presentation by Donna Keegan, the outgoing President. She will talk about the new strategic plan for the Society. Following the presentation will be an introduction of the new board members and the accompanying vote for them. Next, Mr. O’Brein will give his presentation, and we will conclude with refreshments and snacks. This is a great opportunity to visit with the board and fellow Society members. CPPHS Goes to Buffalo! Join us for a weekend trip to Buffalo June 2-3, 2012. The Corning Painted Post Historical Society is hosting a weekend trip to Buffalo, New York. We are taking reservations now, so please call the office at 937-5281 to save your seat! We will be going on a tour of beautiful architectural buildings downtown, going on a boat tour of the harbor and listening to the history of the grain elevators. Touring the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural site, and the world famous Albright Knox art gallery. We will also be getting an extended tour of the Frank Lloyd Wright masterpiece – Darwin Martin House. You will have some free time on Elmwood Ave., a great place for some shopping and lunch! Included are all meals (except 1 lunch), bus ride to and from Buffalo, and double occupancy room at the beautiful Adam’s Mark Hotel. The cost is $275 for the weekend.
